Ajna is a wearable mindfulness device developed as a Rutgers capstone project in collaboration with a real client, translating breath patterns into haptics, visuals, and sound to support meditation through a connected mobile experience.
Design centered on creating an interface that feels both ancient and futuristic, balancing ritual-inspired calm with modern technology. A dark, tranquil layout, deep tonal palette, and generous negative space reduce visual overwhelm and support sustained focus.
User flows were developed around key features such as group meditation and customizable sessions, prioritizing clarity and ease of interaction. Minimal visual language and restrained typography allow breath data to feel intuitive, immersive, and unobtrusive throughout the experience.
